ISO 9001 concerns a quality management system. Certification does not certify every manifold as a product or replace acceptance against its drawing. ISO publishes standards; certification is performed by certification bodies.

Read the certificate as a document with a defined scope

Keep the document reference and review date in your supplier record. If a detail does not match, clarify it before treating the certificate as evidence for that entity, location or activity.

Dongguan Zhongwei Metal Products Co., Ltd. was established in 2018 and serves international customers. Dongguan Smile Machinery Co., Ltd., founded in 2011, primarily serves the Chinese domestic market. Both operate from the same location under the same ownership and management.

Delivery records and traceabilityOur normal machined-block acceptance verifies material and drawing conformity, including the specified dimensions, thread-gauge checks, applicable bore geometry, sealing-surface roughness and burr removal. Pressure and functional testing are not routine checks.

Can we request documents for our supplier approval process?
Yes. Tell us the company and site information, certificate details, questionnaire or inspection evidence your review requires. We can discuss the relevant documents and any open points with your engineering or purchasing team.
Does an ISO 9001 certificate prove a manifold’s pressure rating?
No. Quality-system certification does not establish the pressure capability or hydraulic function of an individual design. The responsible engineering team determines material and structural suitability for the operating conditions.
Does one company’s certificate cover another company at the same address?
Do not assume so. Check the legal entities, sites and activities named in the certificate and its annexes. Shared ownership or a shared workshop is not, by itself, evidence of certificate coverage.
Will a certificate replace first-article or material records?
No. Those records answer different questions. Agree the part-specific evidence, report format and acceptance scope before production, including any additional customer requirements.
